Here is some important information for riders and manufacturers regarding the scoring of course racing events in 2011.
In 2011, all official event results (this includes world championships, continental championships, PKRA tour events and continental tour events) will be still based on the results of the open division.
The open division includes all riders that signed up for the event, regardless of if they are racing on custom or production equipment.
To encourage competition in the production division (which will be the only allowed equipment from 2012 on !) the IKA will produce a separate production ranking, where only competitors that comply with the production division requirments, are scored.
To be scored in the production division, you need to register ONE board and THREE kites only for the competition. Forms will be available during event registration.
Producers that want to register their boards, please contact the IKA Executive Office.
The kites used for competitions in 2011 may be still custom, but with a maximum size of 19m.
From 2012 on, ONLY ONE registered production BOARD and a maximum of THREE registered production KITES are allowed to be used per competition, including all world, continental, PKRA, KTE and KTA course racing events.
