Lets start by telling us a bit about yourself…where you’re from and how old you are ?
So I’m 18 years old and I was born in Greece. When I was six I moved with my parents to Germany! Right now I’m living next to the seaside and close to my house is a big lake where it’s possible to go kitesurfing as well.
How did you managed to learn that fast in a really short time?
I started kiting in 2008 and I spent every windy day on the water if it was possible!
I always trained hard and from the beginning I enjoyed to learn new tricks.
Where is your favorite place to kite ?
I already have been to many nice places all over the world and I definitely enjoyed it most to ride in South Africa; Cape Town.
What is your answer to the question “Is kitesurfing a dangerous sport?”
Kitesurfing was definitely dangerous before the first bow kites came on the market. The bow kites make everything more safely and now it’s not a problem to learn this extreme sport in strong wind conditions too.
What have you been up to this year? Have you got any plans for the ongoing competitions?
At the moment I’m competing in the European Championships. When I finish school I definitely intend to ride the whole PKRA tour.
Are there any bad thinks to ride competitions?
I really enjoy to take part in competitions and I like to battle myself against the best riders from Europe! Unfortunately sometimes it’s really stressful to ride competitions and that makes it difficult to manage everything around and to ride all heads full of concentration.
What new tricks have you been working on for this season?
At the moment I’m working on my double passes like the frontmobe 7 and the bind judge5. As well I try to ride as powered as possible and that’s why I keep on training to ride overpowered in all kind of conditions.
What equipment do you use?
I’m riding on the Spleene stuff. The Kites are perfect and I love their power when they are on the air.. The Freestyle boards from Spleene are also really good for my riding style! I’m proud of being part of the company and help to develop the kites and boards.
How do you manage to keep motivated season after season? What keeps you going ?
My big goal is to become world champion in the future! I always train really hard to make my dream come true! Every session I progress myself motivates me always a lot.
Have you got a motto/quote for success you would like to share ?
Dont dream your life but life your dream. Everyone has a goals. Give always 110% and you realize how your dream comes closer!
