Wow, the last two weeks were very stressful for me. I took part in three competitions and kept traveling around from one place to the other...I went from Venezuela straight to Austria where the second round of the PKRA world cup tour took part at Lake Neusiedl. It was quite a shock coming back to the cold and to kite with a long wetsuits again and I was very happy that my wetsuit sponsor Maui Magic made sure to give me two very warm new suits and the newest neoprene underwear – without this I might be a big Ice cube by now. At lake Neusiedl everything went perfect for me again and I won my second world cup of this year.
More than happy I went straight to the next competition – the German “Red Bull fly to King of the Air†in Wustrow/Darss. Without even sleeping I arrived there the next day at 11 am, just in time for registration. Good winds and three days of competition in the freezing cold Baltic Sea brought my second victory in one week and also a free flight to Maui! I really enjoyed being back in Germany and meeting all the German guys again, but unfortunately there was not much time for me to stay… the next competition was calling already. So I had a short night at home with my parents and took a plane from Berlin to Tarifa the next morning to go to the international invitational “Betandwin Kitesurf Pro.†The new contest format “X-Moves†made it pretty easy for me. You only needed to show your two best tricks and got judged by power, style and technical difficulty. In the end I had my third victory in two weeks in the pocket!
Now I am just really tired and need some rest for sure. I decided to stay here in Tarifa for a couple more days to enjoy the relaxed style, the tappas bars and nice countryside.
