Athletes/Participants: The Red Bull Cape Town Man is an international event comprising of 70 x 4-man teams.
Event Details The Red Bull Cape Town Man is a multi-disciplined extreme relay race that is set to take place in and around the city of Cape Town in mid-November 2005. The race will incorporate: Speed Kitesurfing, Adventure Biking, Mountain Running and Speed Paragliding. The race will be made up of 70 x 4-man teams who will compete against each other over a pre-defined course that covers the natural and manmade elements of the city. The course has been designed to challenge the teams’ physical and mental abilities.
The demanding course will take the teams through a variety of challenging natural and manmade landmarks. The athletes will start off at sea level and will race to well over 1000m above sea level to the highest point in the city, before returning to the Atlantic Ocean in an attempt to take the inaugural event title.
