Tieme had conquered the skateboard halfpipe by the time he had turned 10, and was on the lookout for something more extreme. By the age of 12 he was into windsurfing, and in 2002 he had made another sport shift, to become a professional breakdancer.
Having been addicted to adrenaline for as long as he can remember, it was no surprise to him, or his family, that he became hooked on kiteboarding as soon as he tried his hand at it!
Although he has spent over 20 years of his life on the water, Tieme never went pro due to his other passion; being an interior designer. But make no mistake, when the wind picks up, you will find him on the water, or as high above it as possible!
“Kiteboarding keeps me sharp and makes me happy! Being one of the oldest competitors at Red Bull King of the Air, this is truly a once in a lifetime experience, and I would love to give a kite-show on the water!”
