Weinig introductie meer nodig eigenlijk, 5 keer wereldkampioen en na een tijdje afwezig geweest te zijn in de PKRA, dit jaar weer sterk terug gekomen. Wie weet nog een 6de titel? en een King of the Air titel?
Aaron is a 5x World Champ who grew up around sports.
Kiting became a major focus for Aaron after he strapped a board to his feet in 2000, and within two years, at age 14, he had already climbed to the top level in
British kiteboarding.
At his very first PKRA event, he ended up in ninth position, but by the end of the season he had already claimed his first podium. By 2004, Aaron had won his first championship.
For five consecutive years, Aaron was at the top of his game and on top of the podiums. To hold onto his top spot he was constantly innovating and creating new tricks that were previously only dreamt about by his competitors. In 2010, Aaron decided to step back from competing and focus his time and efforts on other personal areas.
By January 2012, Aaron had the made the call to return to competitions, but after only a month back he suffered a knee injury which sidelined him for the remainder of the year. After months of gruelling rehab, Aaron returned to riding in 2013 and managed to get back most of his pre-injury form.
Aaron is one of the most gifted and technical riders to ever pick up a kite, and has spent many a season in Cape Town. He loves to go huge and has an incredibly strong will to win. If fully fit, expect Aaron to drop jaws, combining the necessary extreme manoeuvres with a very polished level of technicality that most will struggle to bring to the table.
“I kiteboard because of the feeling, it’s my passion and I love the progression. I am lucky to compete against the world’s best, and the achievement of winning and progressing the sport, on and off the water, with development keeps me going.”
