Morris makes it

Well, Morris survived his operation and is in a bit of pain post op, but with the help of a Morphine drip, heâ€™s taking it like a man. He ended up with 6 Titanium screws in his ankle to hold it all together. He will stay in the hospital one more night and then heâ€™s gonna chill at Benâ€™s place for like a week until he can fly back to Hawaii. Everyone is stoked he had a successful surgery and can now begin his recovery. Wind is steadily increasing as well as the swell forecast for this weekend.

A good day

Today was a good day. First off we woke up at 5:00 am to take Morris to his 6:30am appointment to surgery. After about a 4 hour wait, Morris was admitted to surgery and went under the knife. Latest update is that he made it, and is doing well post-op although heâ€™s a bit out of it from all the pain med. Ben & Elliot are headed to the hospital this evening to visit him as he is scheduled to overnight at the hospital. While Morris was in surgery Elliot & Ben caught a little kite session at a closeby point break. Frame grabs from today attached. We also attached a frame grab of Morrisâ€™s floater of DOOM (the one that broke his leg.) More pics to follow after the hospital visit.

Staan momenteel vette golven hier. De Quicksilver pro is ook bezig in Snappers met alle groten namen hier. Kelly Slater ript alles aan gort. We waren gister nog in Coulandra om daar de rivier te kiten. Jammer dat de boys daar niet meer waren. Lekker 6 knopen tegenstroom in de rivier en buiten hoge bakken. Wat een aparte kiteplek.

You can just tell that floater Morris is doing isnâ€™t going to end well. Beach break looks mental though! Fuck I wish I was there with you guys. Youâ€™re pretty much kiting the Passage in Caloundra which is Ruthieâ€™s home break. (shots from the other day) Good to hear Morris made it. Shit looks sick, like I said, wish I was there!

PS - If Best Kiteboarding decides to read this, WHERE THE FUCK IS MY $$$$$$???!!!
