The idea behind PINK Kites was hatched at a coffeeshop in Soho London. Two wind starved founders of the sport (ie those people who know what the old 2 line kites are!) discussed the possibility of creating a kite company with a difference. They decided they wanted to bring a kite to the market that was easier to fly in all conditions for all levels of riders. Thankfully they stumbled upon a man who could assist: The founder of kitesurfing himself, Bruno Legaignoux. On a remote beach in the Dominican Republic, Bruno began testing the new designs - the Ultra Flat Kite Design as it is now termed. The Ultra Flat Kite Design provide far more control and boost than kites have traditionally allowed. The wind range of the ultra flat pink kites is also quite amazing - ranging from 10 knots upwards. PINK kites are incredibly responsive: they have a very fast turning speed. So there is no longer any need to have a quiver of 5 kites for different wind and sea conditions. All that is needed is a PINK kite.
