New in 2008:
- The boards are available in 2 different color ways, silver with orange
stripes and blue with orange stripes. (like you can see in the pictures at the
boards section). The inspiration of this design is coming from the famous
racing cars of the 70th`s and 80th´s.
- The new design is UV stabilized and the silver color has shining metallic
color on the top.
- All boards have a 3D-Shape
- Much sharper rails than in 2007. Together with the new scoop – rocker line
and the new flex, the boards will have better grip for high jumps and help you
to get more control.
- The outline around the tips is completely modified to optimize the full
suspension function.
- All boards are equipped with extended full suspension tips.
- All boards are equipped with rail grabs.
- The rails of the boards are in high signal orange color. It helps you a lot
to find the board in darker weather or sea conditions.
- The complete collection has a new “combo core†based on closed micro cell and
wood. The inner
wood core in the middle of the boards is 100 cm long and 8 cm wide.
Special details:
FULL SUSPENSION TIPS
FULL SUSPENSION TIPS stand for extremly thin tips only at the fins area. This
very special tip-design makes a board substantially more agile and ensures
infinite power control at high speeds with less effort. Each chop is absorbed
by the board and the rider keeps its balance. The animated pic on the left side
is demonstrating how it works. The center of the tip doesn't flex so much to
keep the outstanding gliding performance of our boards. Boards just shaped with
thinner tips have a clear disadvantage to FULL SUSPENSION TIPS because more
flex all other the tip means more tailkick. That's a loss of gliding perfomance
and the boards feels spongy. If you put a lot of power to the tip like you do
in overpowerd situations or in radical carved turns, only the FULL SUSPENSION
TIP is flexing. The fin is standing more vertical in the water and produces
more grip and control. For this reason you can use smaller fins for easier
switchstance riding. A perfect solution for a wide range at modern kiteboards
fin-position
The Spleene boards have all the best fin-position due to their operation range
and they have been tested seriously with several riders and protos. The RIP's
have a classic 4-fin setup. The best solution for the Doors and the Session is
one fin at the heelside and one fin near the center. Riding is switchstance is
absolutly easy and you have lots of control. Many riders learned riding in
switchstance with the Doors.
construction
All Spleene boards are produced in indestructible
"snowboardtechnology" with PVC-combo core inside, ABS-rails and
extremly scratchproof polymere surface. The PVC-core is close-celled and
doesn't keep water even not if you put the pure core 30 days in water. The
center wood section is responsible for a huge pop. All inserts are rustproof
and extra reinforced with fiberglass.
adjustable stance
All Spleene boards are produced with 3 different insert-positions to adjust the
stance. Smaller and taller riders now can adjust the strap/pad-system to their
own position. From center to center of the strap the distance is 52 cm. The
adjustmentrange from min to max is +/- 5 cm. You can use our 06 and 07
staps too.
Job had een 0 sterren sessie in Wijk aan Zee met maar liefst 14 - 18 knots op zijn Best Waroo (2008)
Net een 2007 Session 41 aangeschaft voor de minder wind dagen. Top! Ook veel plezier gehad van mijn 2006 Door 64. Spleene maakt gewoon de beste lichtwindmonsters .
