Back in July 2008, Flexifoil were asked to help out with the filming for a new BBC Children's show - 'Richard Hammond's, Blast Lab'.
They wanted to find out whether a kite (attached to a car) would out pace a Children's bike! So they chopped the roof off of a Ford Fiesta and we attached a 12m Atom08! Flexifoil Team Riders; Lewis Wilby, Sy Leonard, Craig Sparkes and Will McKean jumped at the chance to get involved.
After a few failed attempts and a fair amount of waiting for the conditions to be right, we did in fact beat the kids bike in race. In fact on one run, the guys managed to get up to about 15mph!
