steeds meer bladen weet niet of we elk nieuw blad nou op hanglos moeten plaatsen Robbynitroz
We hunted high and low to get the best shots from around the world for this issue, and packed it full of unbelievable shots. From top wave rider Felix Pivec’s sick top turn on the cover to the unreal sequence of North’s Jaime Herraiz on the back page, we got it all.

The SBC crew made the drive to Hatteras this spring to get on these newfangled, massive depowering kites. What did we discover? You’ll have to read the mag to find out. We also took some newly released boards out in the flatwater and waves to see what they were capable of.
In our instructional pages, international safety guru Rick Iossi looks at last year’s kiteboarding fatalities so we can all learn from them. America’s top kite repair expert, Casey Houtz, helps us seal our valves. Instructional tour coach Mark Doyle shows you how to Front Roll and Nuclear Grab. Two-time world champ Mark Shinn has you hucking from land to sea on a skimboard, and Slingshot surf pioneer Ben Wilson (along with some of the world’s top pros) will have you jonesing for the next big swell.
We continue our Ride Guide series, this time hitting the Promised Land—California. Brian Wheeler worked his ass off to make sure this is the most comprehensive California guide around. Of course, he didn’t let us in on all the spots, but he sure gave us one hell of a start. And with Jason Wolcott providing unreal pics to go with it, you’ll be on Expedia looking for flights to LAX instantly.
Check out our Trigger Finger feature for some of the most amazing photos from around the globe.
And once again, we’ve corralled some of the most influential riders from around the continent to send us news about their local spots. This issue’s Locals Only is better and more comprehensive than ever.
Our Five Alive reader contest is back. One lucky reader and a friend will win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Bridge of the Gods in Stevenson, Washington. The winner will get a behind-the-scenes look at the contest, and his or her story will be featured on the soon-to-be-relaunched SBC Kiteboard website. Log onto sbckiteboard.com for your chance to win.
Our next issue of SBC Kiteboard is the 2006 Fall Travel Issue.
