Nine times world champion Kristin Boese starts the KB4girls clinics with a prestigious list of sponsors
TAMPA/LONDON/PERTH, Jan.07: The KB4girls world kite-boarding tour is pleased and honored to announce their sponsor and partner line up for the 2010 clinics, listing such prestigious names as DaKine, Best Kiteboarding, Kiehl’s, the Surfrider Foundation and a series of media partners including SportsFeatures.com. Being a role model in the sport and bringing the expertise of nine world championship titles to the tour the Guinness World Record™ holder Kristin Boese has stepped in to support female kiteboarders around the world but would not be able to do so without the support of her great sponsors and partners.
DaKine, Best Kiteboarding and Kiehl’s have generously stepped in with resources and funding and are also looking to help Boese expand the sport’s interest and participation.
Bill Morrissey, Kiteboarding Sales Manager, DaKine said:“Dakine is extremely pleased to be able to support the KB4Girls world tour from the beginnings and we look forward to many great events. Having worked with Kristin over the past two years, she has shown nothing but professionalism and class in all of our business doings, not to mention having one of the brightest and vibrant personalities you could find! These are the characteristics that will make her KB4 Girls clinics very successful. We wish her the best for the 2010 season and beyond.â€
DaKine has always supported female athletes of all sports and with their great line of kiteboarding accessories for females making them a perfect fit for KB4girls. DaKine will also proudly produce and supply the 2010 KB4girls tour lycra.
Simon Clark, Marketing Director Best Kiteboarding: “Best kiteboarding are incredibly proud to be involved with Kristin’s Worldwide KB4Girls Tour. There’s no better way to stimulate new entrants into the sport than by letting people try out the latest kit and receive world-class instruction. I can think of no one better qualified than the ‘multi-discipline Women’s World Champion’ to help bring kitesurfing to a wider audience. We feel privileged to be able to support Kristin and KB4Girls.â€
Best Kiteboarding will not only support female kiteboarders by teaming up with KB4girls but also by showing the importance of girls in the sport by releasing a girls’ specific kiteboard in 2010.
Kiehl’s is yet another perfect fit for KB4girls and the photogenic blonde cover girl. While the tour is a great way for them to reach out to female athletes and to promote their skin and hair products, their fine formulations and natural ingredients totally agree with the concept of KB4girls. Kiehl’s is also well known for their support for worthy causes and their environmental awareness.
Riccarda Kolb, Brand Manager Kiehl's Germany: "KB4girls is a great initiative and supporting it gives us the chance to do something good for female athletes and the protection of the oceans at the same time. We are very happy to be on board for an exciting ride."
KB4girls partners:
Next to supporting female kiteboarders with the KB4girls events Kristin Boese has also made it her goal to help protect the worlds’ beaches and oceans that are not only so important for every kiteboarder, but to the entire world population. Teaming up with the European branch of the world renown and unbelievably dedicated Surfrider Foundation has therefore been very important to Kristin and a great cooperation has been formed. While Surfrider Europe will supply educational materials for the KB4girls events most of the registration proceeds of the events will go towards the Surfrider Foundation and the protection of the beaches around the world.
Xavier Giamporcaro,Chef de projet Partenariats et Développement,Surfrider Foundation Europe: “KB4girls and Surfrider Foundation Europe join forces to keep the ocean clean. Created 20 years ago, SFE is a European NGO dedicated to defending, saving, improving and managing in a sustainable manner the ocean, coastline, waves and the people who enjoy themâ€.
Further partners of KB4girls include SportsFeatures.com, PKRA and Ideenwerft.
Laura Walden, Director of SportsFeatures.com: “Kristin is a role model athlete doing an exemplary job with just the right team of sponsors and media channels for promoting kite-boarding worldwide. We are honored to help her get her message out to the world’s elite sports media and support the KB4girls tour to further her cause.â€
One of the goals of KB4girls is to motivate female kiteboarders to compete in national and international competitions so a partnership with the Professional Kiteboard Riders Association (PKRA) world tour is a huge support as they will actually waive the PKRA fee for first time competitors that have taken part in a KB4girls event thus making it easier for girls to try their luck in a world cup competition.
Another essential partner is the German web design company Ideenwerft. While they have done an incredible job by creating the design and overseeing the management of the official www.kb4girls.com website they also make it possible to keep the website updated about events, news, announcements and weather.
Media partners:
KB4girls has teamed up with an expansive equipe of media sponsors that help to spread the word about the tour and its sponsors and will be covering the events around the globe.
Kristin says: “I am very honored to be able to announce Kiteboarding.eu, Kiteboarder Australia, Kite Pirat, SBC Kiteboard Magazine, Stance and 3S Boards & Skis as our media partners for KB4girls. These Magazines are some of the leading magazines in Kiteboarding and will help us to reach out to the girls in their corresponding region, making it possible for more girls to become part of KB4girls in the long run. A special KB4girls feature will be published in each issue of these magazines which shows their dedicated support of female kiteboarders and sets a great example in the kiteboarding world.â€
Online media sponsors will be helping to spread the word through the internet on all continents and regions, announcing events and keeping everyone up to date on the developments of the KB4girls events on their own channels. These following internet platforms have partnered with the non-profit girls tour to help support females in the sport of kiteboarding:
explorergirls.com, flickamag.com, funsporting.de, www.hanglos.net, kitemovement.com, ladiesonboard.pl, oase.com, riders.dk, seabreeze.com.au, surfertoday.com, surferworld.it, windfinder.com, womensportreport.com, 01Kitesurf.com
“Getting the world out through the internet is especially important for us to let girls know about the upcoming events. I am so happy to have such a great range of online platforms on board as this will really help us to spread the word wide and to get out news and information instantly,“ says Kristin.
Kristin also wants to thank her partners: “I really appreciate the support of each and every one of our sponsors and partners. Their help and dedication will not only make organizing and running the KB4girls events much easier and pleasant for me but also shows the female kiteboarders around the world that they are playing an important role in the sport. Thanks so much to everyone and I am sure I can say that in the name of all the participants also. “
