The next two national kite class associations just joined the IKA family, the one is Austria and the other one is Taiwan. Welcome !
"AKA was founded to support kiteboarding on a competitive level and the sport in general. Not having sea access did not hinder Austrians from establishing a wind and water sports tradition of success in the past. Our lakes shall also be the playground for our future champs and for everyone who loves this sport as much as we do." said Christoph Sieber, President of the Austrian Kite Association.
Markus Schwendtner, Executive Secretary of the International Kiteboarding Association, added that "we are more than happy about the healthy growth of the class, with Austria and Taiwan we already have five new members joining IKA in the first month of the year, and we are just about to finalize membership details with several more from all over the world."
