A bit of an unusual movie here today since it is about surfing but essential to watch nontheless.
I found this video on the famous surfing website Korduroy.tv
This short film by Mark Kermode was awarded ‘Most Inspirational Film’ at Cornwall Film Festival’s Board Shorts event. It is a short tale of enduring stoke catalyzed by prone surfing on a ply board. Dorothy “Dot” explains her joy of discovering the ocean for the first time and sliding up onto the beach on her wooden bellyboard. And that if you don’t surf, you probably won’t understand. However, Peter, who does not surf, enjoys and appreciates her stoke after a day’s surf. His comparison of surfing a wave to making a perfect shot in golf is perfect. Is that why many surfers enjoy golfing so much? Just that little taste of perfection?
Most kitesurfeurs are relatively young but we shall all be Dot age sooner or later so watch this!
