Paul H. Caswell, Vice-President and Media Director of the Professional Kiteboard Riders Association (PKRA) and President/Co-Founder of Extreme Elements International has decided to resign from the two posts, effective immediately.
In his letter to Mauricio Toscano, President of the PKRA, Mr. Caswell said that he has worked hard for the PKRA since he joined the tour in 2004 and helped bring the organization into the forefront of kiteboarding competition as it is today and felt that his work at the organization was complete.
“Working with the PKRA has been challenging, exciting and often times difficult. But, throughout my tenure at the organization, I’ve constantly been sustained by the brilliance and commitment of both the athletes and people I’ve had the honor to work with,” said Paul Caswell.
He added, “My passion has always been kiteboarding and my hope and desire was to help grow the sport from what it was into something great as it is today. I feel that through all my hard work and dedication this has finally come to fruition, so I feel it is time to move on.”
“Paul Caswell is a remarkable athlete and a passionate kiteboarder. He joined the PKRA at a critical time, when the sport of kiteboarding was just in its infancy. Paul helped push the PKRA’s credibility to new heights and kiteboarding’s recognition by diligently helping promote the sport worldwide. Through his remarkable foresight he established the PKRA as the first professional kiteboarding tour to offer course racing, which has helped grow the sport to where it is today. His relentless efforts, vision and dedication while working with the PKRA since 2004 is greatly appreciated,” said Mauricio Toscano, President of the PKRA.
The PKRA plans to explore a full range of options as it considers Mr Caswell’s successor.
Mr. Caswell also a co-founder of Extreme Elements International (EEI) has said that he is also resigning from said post effective immediately, handing over full control of the company to his business partner Jeremie Lecaudey. Mr. Caswell cited personal reasons behind his resignation from EEI.
The Professional Kiteboard Riders Association (PKRA) welcomes Jeremie Lecaudey as its new Media Director, replacing Paul Caswell, creator of the Live Results, Lecaudey together with Caswell created Extreme Elements, which has been pushing TV production to higher standards and better distribution and managed to bring the PKRA millions of views on the Internet through its premier partnership with YouTube.
Lecaudey has been working on the PKRA World Tour for over 4 years producing the TV show highlights and web daily videos. Previous work includes positions at Stance Magazine as both Cameraman and Editor. Using his extensive experience in press, web and TV, Lecaudey seeks to increase the exposure of PKRA World tour by developing and improving the current Media interface.
Press
Together with photographer Toby Bromwich, the PKRA seeks to provide a constant feed of specialized articles; news updates; dedicated interviews and rider’s profiles; tricks and sequences; as well as all visual aspects of the tours events, to all magazines in the industry, including local and international press.
The PKRA will showcase its publications on the social networks.
Web
As a premium partner of YouTube, Extreme Elements has attracted 8 million viewers on the Internet in the past 4 years and continues to grow through new social media platforms Facebook and Twitter. The Live Result system, will keep fans, viewers and participants updated throughout the event.
All websites will receive a choice of photos, videos and press releases linking to the World Tour and connecting with the riders of the PKRA.
Television
The TV shows are produced within a week for a quicker turn out and better distribution via Quattro Media (also distributing the TTR, Red Bull events and the World of Free Sports magazine).
The PKRA is now working on expanding its TV distribution by providing more general content ranging from rider’s profiles to destination reports.
Industry brands
In order to connect with Industry brands, the PKRA, together with Antoine Jaubert, have been creating an industry platform which seeks to provide brands with specialized press releases about their riders, as well as photo and video reels from the event. This presents sponsors with personalized and cost-effective material appropriate to their brands marketing strategy.
