Registration for the fourth freestyle stop on the 2014 PKRA calendar started today on the pristine shores of Soma Bay, Egypt. This is the maiden year for this PKRA location with both organisers and contestants holding high hopes for running what could be considered one of the premier stops on the 2014 PKRA calendar.
Clear skies and light wind gave some of the smaller competitors a chance to get in tune with the competition layout and also gave keen onlookers something to cheer about. With 63 riders registered stretching across 22 nationalities this competition is sure to be a heated one with light to strong consistent winds and warmer weather giving riders the ultimate opportunity to show the world their all. Young British rider Tom Bridge has also signed up for the event and in training today showed a few of the veterans that he to can punch it out with the big boys, keep your eyes peeled to see how this future star goes.
Tomorrows forecast shows stronger wind in the early morning (as is often the case in the red sea) so riders will have to be prepared bright an early for a 7am skippers meeting with a 7:30am first possible start.
Once again this is sure to be another thrilling event so be sure you don’t miss out on any of the action on ourLIVESTREAM or if you’ve got to much work to do you can still keep updated on the PKRA Facebook and Twitter Feeds with start times, contest results and much more!
