Interview of 2 champions:
Kitesurf freestyle
Charles Deleau (Hyères, France), leader of the International Air Challenge competition at the Mondial du vent and vice world champion KPWT 2005.
Last Friday, during the first day of the Mondial du Vent, Charles Deleau was at the top of the results, we gathered his impressions:
“First, I had an advantage over other competitors because the weather conditions are very similar to the ones I have in Hyères, that is to say an on shore wind which tends to bring lapping and then makes the takeoff and landing of jumps much harder. My other advantage is my weight, I’m in the freestyle competition, heavier than the usual, which allows me to use a bigger sail and thus I manage to do higher jumps.â€
What does the Mondial du Vent represent for you?
“It’s a must in the windsurf and kitesurf circle, especially thanks to the extreme conditions that bring the “Tramontane†wind(North-West)â€
Kitesurf Speed
Alex Caizergues (Port Saint Louis, France), leader of the World Cup and also holder of the 3rd best time worldwide.
“According to me, The Mondial du Vent is a mythic event, the big party for Kitesurf in the South of France and in Europe. It’s “The†meeting of the beginning of the season, where all the riders of the competitions gather together. I hope to stay at the top of the results on this race and why not improving my speed which is 41 knots.â€

Competitions from 10:00 am
Activities:
Demonstrations of mountain bike trial, acrobatic basket ball and circus school.
Several activities will be proposed on the Wind Village, workshops dedicated to the building of kites, building of boats, workshop on the theme of wind, environment, water etc…
Moreover, some inflatable games, trampolines, circus school, internet, and reading for kids.
Initiations to sand yachts, dirt windsurfing and windsurf if there is not too much wind.

Damn!! Ik zit nu in St Pere Pescadore......Hmmmm..........Leucate is uurtje rijden vanaf hiero.
Knal donderdag wel ff die kant op........zowiezo meer wind dan die 10-15 knopen alhier

Hij zegt dat hijals voordeel heeft dat hij meer weegt en zogrotere zeilen kan gebruiken om hoger te springen, een beetje een omgekeerde logica naar mijn denken 
Tga nog goed komen!
