Een nieuwe serie kitefilmpjes met Liam Whaley die op zoek gaat naar de wat minder bekende kitespots.
Greece had it all. Friendly people, culture, history, even the gods of the wind and oceans. It seemed like the right place to film the first episode of Seeking Cloud Nine.
This movie is all about seeking undiscovered places, unexperienced moments, unexpected adventures but most importantly, making the most out of the journey.
We are sending out a message showing the importance of living life in the moment, enjoy the good times and sort out the bad times.
We may never find Cloud Nine but what we will experience on the way will be priceless…
SC9 started of as an idea. My idea was to go to the best Kiteboarding location on the planet and make the craziest freestyle video ever, showcased in a way that hasn’t been seen before.
Then I realised that I was bored of kiting videos. I wanted to make something unique and memorable that could be distributed inside as well as outside of the kiting world.
The idea developed as I started brainstorming with other people, It developed into something more than just another kite video, it developed into a seek. A series of 8- 12 min videos each filmed in different locations around the world, each series having its unique story and adventure, whether it's about seeking the ultimate kite spot or getting lost somewhere in the jungle, every episode will have a powerful story and voice over that will make it relatable to a very wide range of audiences with the goal of connecting with each and every person, helping them find themselves and search for their life path outside of their comfort zone.
Before this idea came to mind I had been training in Greece during the month of August. The spots I rode were absolutely perfect, I had never ridden in such constant winds and such flat waters. On top of the outstanding conditions, Greece has this friendly, inviting energy which the people that live there create. People are happy that you come to their country and they want you to experience the very best of it.
The kiteboarding community there is also something special. Very real and powerful, everybody follows the professional side of kiting very closely, that motivated me to get on the water and perform at my highest level.
