Van een downwinder met heel veel kiters in de eerste jaren is de Virgin Kitesurf Armada nu uitgegroeid naar een weekend vol met kitesurf actie en feestjes op Hayling Island
The Virgin Kitesurfing Armada held at Hayling Island from June 9-11 2017. An amazing weekend with beautiful weather, varied winds and kitesurfers from all over the world attending the event.
There was a load of kitesurfing activities from big air comps, foiling and pro clinics, boardercross, the British Kitesurfing Championships, taster sessions for beginners, the Kite/SUP/Run Charity Challenge and more, something for all skill levels.
A Saturday session with Nick Jacobsen, Aaron Hadlow and Lewis Crathern entertained the crowds, with Lewis Crathern putting on numerous clinics over the weekend for all to enjoy. An excellent spokesman for the sport and its easy to see why these guys are at the top of their games. Was an pleasure to speak with these guys and watch them in action.
Special thanks to Virgin Armada, Havant Borough Council, Cabrinha UK & Cabrinha Kiteboarding as well as Craig Smith from the BKSA for all the support needed to film the event. There were many more, too many to name, thanks to all of your for an unforgettable weekend. You are all stars.
Filmed entirely in 4K with a DJI Inspire 1 V2.0 with the Zenmuse X5R camera & 15mm lens and DJI Osmo handheld stabilized camera with the Zenmuse X3 camera. Colour graded using GroundControl LUT Packs and edited in Final Cut Pro X.
All local rules and regulations were followed, permissions granted where required. This was a controlled event with controlled flying by a qualified, licensed and insured pilot. Thanks to Virgin Armada for the opportunity to film the event and share this wonderful sport to all.
