To end the Naish Dealer's Meeting 2006 that happened in Cumbuco, Brazil, Kitecenter Fortaleza organized a kitewave contest: the Aloha Naish Wave Monkeys 2006. With 10 brazilian and 10 french competitors, the contest happened at Pacheco's beach, at the Aloha restaurant. Although the place is a perfect rock bottom wave spot, no swell showed this day, but the little wind wave made the show happen with the help of very talented and full of energy (maybe was the Redbull effect) athletes. The crowd at the beach was totally internacional, with people from Brazil, France, UK, Swiss, Germany and South Africa.
The heats went on and on with Reggae Music on the speakers, 3 languages narration (the funniest part) and photographer João Henrique clicking the best moments. The athletes were their own judges, with the crowd yelling: "Bra-Sil, Bra-Sil , Bra-Sil " from one side and "Fran-Ce, Fran-Ce, Fran-Ce" from the other, just like in a big soccer match. The final happened with a mix of Brasil and France and 3 different styles that made a nice show exactly at sunset time.
Everybody was stocked with the event, that ended with a nice Aloha Style dinner, live music by the Los Carecas Rock'N'Roll and Blues band and a wild party with 2 famous DJs: DJ Soim and DJ Germano Rocha turning brazilian music, funk and House for the crowd.
