Among these professional men and women kiteboarding athletes, we may count some local riders : Sedat Celenk, Volkan GŸnel, Kaya Karaca, Taner Akyurt, Tarkan Yildiz for men, Arzu Taylan and Yasemin Sibel Erogul for women. Full of KPWT World Champions : Sebastien Garat, 2006 one and leader of the current freestyle ranking, Thomas Cocquelet, Micka‘l Fernandez, respectively World Champions in 2005 and 2004, add to this the 2006 Junior KPWT World Champion Florian Daubos, Antoine Auriol, Victor Hays, Louis Hutter, Adrien Jaujou, Valentin Fayemendie and Thomas Paris for men and Helene Barriere – 2006 French and European champion – for women, you’ll have an overview of the French team. Other nationalities will also take part in this kiteboarding world cup leg : the Serbian Boris Judin, the Japanese Takahiro Tomaru , the South African Clinton Bolton, Mohammed Hamaini and Hamada Titi for Morocco, Giuseppe Esposito and Erik Volpe for Italy, the New Caledonian Tom Hebert and the Dutch rider Sander Lenten. Spanish girls also made the road to Burc Beach like Noelia Nunez and the KPWT Wave World Champion -also winner of the first 2007 stage held in Italy on last month- Ainhoa Garcia who’ll have to defend her current first place. Tonight, party on the event site with Dj sets and tomorrow morning, at 11.00 Am, will take place the also traditional first skippers meeting with, we all hope, the start of the Freestyle competition if the wind is with us.
