L'IKO se lance dans le sponsoring de riders puisqu'ils annoncent que le rider Starkites dominicain Jan Marcos Rivera est leur premier team rider officiel!
Decision tout de meme un peu surprenante puisque l'IKO se veut etre l'organe officel et independant du kitesurf mondial.

The IKO is happy to welcome Jan Marcos Rivera from the Dominican Republic on its team of Pro Riders!
Juan Marcos’s specialty is wave riding. But what makes his performances on the water amazing is that he is usually strapless! His latest trick, strapless kite loop, can be viewed on http://www.kiteforum.tv/video/Strapless_Kiteloop_Grab.html
Jan Marcos is on of the best riders in his category. He ranked 3rd at the KPWT 2008 Waves Master in France, he was the overall winner of the Master of the Ocean in 2007, 3rd at the overall in 2008, and 3rd at the Master Kite discipline.
“With the additional support of the IKO, he can travel to international competitions, spend more time training and improve his overall ranking. We are looking forward to seeing his results at the next KPWT events!†commented Sandrine Roussos of the IKO.
His other sponsors include Starkites, Stone fish and l’Agence.
