Mexico - Playa del Carmen/Kitesurf Worldcup / 11 november - 15 november

Mexico 2009- Playa del Carmen, Mexico will be the second stop of the 2009 PKRA World Tour. In 2008 this location proved to be a fun venue with thousands of spectators. Playa del Carmen is the hearth of the world famous "Riviera Maya" whit its many kilometers of powdery white sand beaches, and cristal clear Caribbean waters. During this season the wind can range from 10 to 25 knots from the northeast to the southeast direction. At the moment the event will be a freestyle only event, but there is a chance that the course racing discipline will be added by February 22nd, which will give the racers two months time to prepare themselves.

Dear Riders. Due to the close proximity to the starting date of the Mexico event, and the slowness of the bureaucratic process of the main sponsors we have decided to postpone the Mexico event for November 11-15, 2009. This will allow for better wind conditions and more time to prepare it. Thanks everyone for you patience, and hope this change does not cause anyone any major inconvenience.
